Prototyping is available using ASAHI TEC's unique Low-Pressure Sand Mold Casting method to make large-size, thin-walled components. Casting surface close to high pressure die cast is realized by using our original sand and mold coating, while the mechanical properties of the material can be adjusted by heat treatment to bring them to nearly the same level as those of mass productions. Prototyping production samples can thus be used for the mass production bench tests especially for the structural components of automobiles.

With the rich store of material technologies, ASAHI TEC contributes to weight savings and total cost reductions using the Lost Wax Method mainly as the core of precision casting. It is used with the components for general industrial precision instruments, as well as in the fields of aviation and space where the highest reliability is a must. |

| This method uses a wax pattern with refractory coating, which is de-waxed to create cavity to pour in the molten metal. It can be used to produce complex forms by combining the wax patterns, which is suitable for medium and small size components. |
 |
| This method uses plaster molds that are formed with rubber molds or wax, which can produce thin or narrow items with beautiful casting surface. Undercut or complex 3D components can also be produced when using rubber molds. |
This unique low-pressure casting process of ASAHI TEC uses low-cost sand molds that are shaped with special hardener while controlling the atmosphere to pour in the molten metal from multiple gates. The method realizes high levels of casting surface, dimensional accuracy, and mechanical properties that cannot be achieved with the conventional sand mold prototyping.
