 Prototyping is available using ASAHI TEC's unique Low-Pressure Sand Mold Casting method to make large-size, thin-walled components. Casting surface close to high pressure die cast is realized by using our original sand and mold coating, while the mechanical properties of the material can be adjusted by heat treatment to bring them to nearly the same level as those of mass productions. Prototyping production samples can thus be used for the mass production bench tests especially for the structural components of automobiles.

| This unique low-pressure casting process of ASAHI TEC uses low-cost sand molds that are shaped with special hardener while controlling the atmosphere to pour in the molten metal from multiple gates. The method realizes high levels of casting surface, dimensional accuracy, and mechanical properties that cannot be achieved with the conventional sand mold prototyping. |
